Football News: Where next for Tiote?

It is no wonder Newcastle are looking to offload Cheick Tiote as soon as possible, not just because he is no longer first choice in their midfield, but because his off field transgressions are becoming a major factor.

Not content with bigamy, after marrying for a second time while still married the first time, and having a mistress for those times when two wives are just not enough, Tiote has managed to get himself on the front page of the papers for yet another driving offence.

This time he hasn't been caught with a fake license, nor has he reached the points limit and failed to receive a ban at the time, no, this time he has been caughting driving with a bottle of bubbly in his hand.

Seeing as how the one time Arsenal target has already got a 7 month suspended sentence hanging over his head, it is very possible that this time will see him off to jail.

What then for the Ivory Coast star, one time darling of the Toon faithful and being courted by some of the biggest clubs in Europe?

It is unlikely that Man Utd or Arsenal, or any other of the big clubs that were interested after his first few months on Tyneside will still want him.

It does make you wonder about the stupidity of footballers, with all their millions yet they still don't think to employ someone to drive them around so they can have a drink!
