Dalian Yifeng have spent just under £10m on Ghana forward Emmanual Boateng from Levante.

Spanish central midfielder Adrian Gonzalez has agreed a new deal with Malaga. The 30 year old has agreed to stay with Malaga until 2021 with the option for another year.

Man City Add Another Farm Team

City Football Group have added yet another team to their Manchester City football group with the acquisition of Chinese side Sichuan Jiuniu. City Group ceo Ferran Soriano said: "Today marks an exciting new chapter in the growth of City Football Group. China is an extremely important football market that we have been focusing on for some time. We're a firm believer in the future of football in China. We are committed to the long-term and sustainable growth and development of Sichuan Jiuniu and the promotion of Chinese football talent. These goals are just as important. Our immediate focus is on strengthening our performance, using all our experience and expertise, building a strong relationship with our fans and a strong presence in the community. We can't wait to get started." Yet another club to allow them to circumvent loan rules and fudge ownership of players in the way Udinese has made so famous.

Bolton Set For Winding up Battle

Bolton Wanderers have been issued a winding-up petition by HM Revenue and Customs, with a court date set for 20th March. Current owner Ken Anderson is desperately trying to sell the club and admits there are a number of consortiums in talks with him over the club.

Clarke Suffers Sectarian Abuse

Kilmarnock manager Steve Clarke claims he was subjected to sectarian abuse from Rangers fans during Killie's Scottish Cup defeat at the hands of the Glasgow side. Clarke said: "To call me a Fenian b******, where are we living? The dark ages? They are not allowed to call my assistant [Alex Dyer] a 'black b', but they can call me a Fenian b******. What are we doing in Scotland? I wake up every morning and thank Chelsea for taking me away from the west of Scotland because my children don't understand this. Thankfully when I go down there my children don't have to worry about this. It's lovely being back in the west of Scotland." Clarke was bought by Chelsea from St Mirren as a player back in 1987. Kilmarnock captain Kris Boyd also complained about sectarian abuse, this time from Celtic fans, on Sunday, as it seems the problem of people living in the 17th century has not left Scotland.

Botswana Sack National Coach

David Bright has been sacked as head coach of the Botswana national side after failing to win in 5 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matches. Bright was in his 4th stint as head coach after being re-appointed in July 2017. Botswana Football Association ceo Mfolo Mfolo said: "We have done a thorough assessment of the team's performance. The introspection hinged on so many aspects. The coach had a target of qualifying for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations finals, it was one of the deliverables. He was also expected to raise the profile of the team, by improving our [Fifa] rankings by 15 places. The opportunity was there to qualify [for the Nations Cup]. We are now ranked 145, so it was only right that we part amicably with the coach."

Nantes Fined Over Sala Tribute

French club Nantes have been fined after fans set off flares as part of their tribute to Emiliano Sala last month. Fans held up a huge banner of Sala and set off flares to commemorate their former striker who died in a plane crash last month. Nantes were fined 16,500 euros by the French Football League.

Khedira Ruled Out For A Month

Juventus midfielder Sami Khedira's heart problem has ruled him out for about a month. The 31 year old was ruled out of the Champions League game against Atletico Madrid with atrial arrhythmia. A Juve statement read: "After a short period of convalescence, he will be able to resume his activity approximately within one month."

Mane House Burgled

Liverpool forward Sadio Mane's house was burgled while he was playing for Liverpool in the Champions League tie with Bayern Munich on Tuesday night. The 26 year old Senegalese forward's house was empty at the time of the break-in. Merseyside Police Detective Inspector Phil Mahon said: "We are appealing for anyone with information in relation to this burglary to please come forward and assist our inquiries. While the occupants were not present at the time of the incident this will no doubt be a distressing experience for them and I would ask the offenders to do the right thing and return the stolen items to the owner in any way possible. We know the watches in particular are of significant monetary value and I would also like to appeal to anyone who might have been offered the items for sale since the burglary to contact police." It is being reported in France that Memphis Depay's house was also burgled while the player was playing in the Champions League, along with fellow Lyon players Lucas Tousart and Pape Diop.
