Contracts

Aaron Wilbraham is set to stay at Rochdale past his 40th birthday after the 39 year old forward signed a new one year deal.

Watford's Brazilian goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes has signed a new 1 year contract with the Hornets.

Real Valladolid have given Antonito a 2 year contract.

Another veteran goalkeeper has signed a 1 year deal in the shape of Inter Milan's Daniele Padelli.

Nimes have given new contracts to Anthony Briancon, Renaud Ripart and Gaetan Paquiez. Briancon and Paquiez have signed 3 year contracts, while Briancon has agreed a 4 year deal.

Racing Strasbourg have given Jeremy Grimm a one year deal. I wonder if he has a brother?

 

Transfers

Bury midfielder Jay O'Shea has joined Robbie Fowler's Brisbane Roar on a free transfer.

Tranmere Rovers have made a double signing. Former Liverpool youngster Darren Potter has signed after his release from Rotherham United and Stefan Payne has signed after his Bristol Rovers contract was cancelled by mutual consent.

Burton Albion have sold midfielder Jamie Allen to Coventry City for an undisclosed fee.

Goalkeeper Callum Burton has signed for Cambridge United on a free transfer from Hull City.

Exeter City have made a double swoop signing defender Gary Warren and goalkeeper Jonny Maxted. Warren left Yeovil Town by mutual consent and Maxted is leaving Accrington Stanley at the end of his contract.

Leeds United striker Jay-Rot Grot has joined Vitesse Arnhem on a season-long loan deal.

Martin Cranie has signed for Luton Town following his release by Sheffield United. Luton have also secured the return of former manager Gary Brabin as an assistant manager to Graeme Jones.

Charlton Athletic have signed former Arsenal youngster Chuks Aneke from MK Dons and Bristol Rovers captain Tom Lockyer, both on a free transfer.

Celtic have signed French centre-back Christopher Jullien from Toulouse for just over £7m.

Hearts have signed Jamie Walker from Wigan Athletic.

Leicester City have paid an undisclosed fee to sign full James Justin from Luton Town.

Bristol City are signing midfielder Sammi Szmodics from Colchester United.

Ryan Babel has returned to Turkey after signing a 3 year contract with Galatasaray.

Antonio Valencia has signed for Ecuadorian side LDU Quito on a free transfer from Manchester United.

Dijon have signed Guinea-Bissau winger Mama Balde from Sporting Club de Portugal.

Bristol City have signed Daniel Bentley from Brentford.

Atletico Madrid have signed Brazilian left-back Renan Lodi from Athletico Paranaense.

Spanish centre-forward Marc Gual has gone on loan to Girona from Sevilla.

Standard Liege have paid over £11m for young Belgian centre-back Zinho Vanheusden from Inter Milan. Inter have brought in teenage Brazilian keeper Gabriel Brazao from Parma for just under £6m.

SCO Angers have sent Harrison Manzala on loan to Le Mans.

Le Havre have signed Mathieu Gorgelin from Olympique Lyon.

Nimes Olympique have signed Romain Philippoteaux from AJ Auxerre.

Abdoulaye Diallo has moved to Genclerbirligi on a free transfer from Stade Rennes.

Major League Soccer team Real Salt Lake have signed Brazilian midfielder Everton Luiz from SPAL.

Real Madrid have signed 17 year Spanish midfielder Fernando Delgado from Rayo Majadahonda.

Hannover 96 have paid over £1.5m for German forward Marvin Ducksch from Fortuna Dusseldorf.

Breel Embolo has made a £9m move from FC Schalke 04 to Borussia Moenchengladbach.

SC Freiburg have signed South Korean winger Chang-hun Kwon from Dijon for under £3m.

Troyes have signed Yoann Salmier from Racing Strasbourg.

Nimes Olympique have released Rachid Alioui.

Bruma has left RB Leipzig for £13.5m to join PSV Eindhoven.

Mario Balotelli has left Marseille.

Manchester United have completed the signing of young right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Crystal Palace for a fee in excess of £45m.

Teenage defender Raphael Nya has signed for Wolverhampton Wanderers from Paris Saint-Germain.

 

Hibs Pull Out Of Ojo Move

Hibernian's move for Scunthorpe United midfielder Funso Ojo has failed after the SPFL side withdrew from talks. They are closing in on Preston North End goalkeeper Chris Maxwell and trying to re-sign Marc McNulty from Reading and Stephane Omeonga from Genoa, who both spent time on loan last season. Hibs have also taken Ryan Moon on trial after the South African striker was released by Kaizer Chiefs.

 

Forest Take 18 Minutes To Replace O'Neill

Nottingham Forest sacked manager Martin O'Neill and then announced French manager Sabri Lamouchi as their new manager just 18 minutes later. Lamouchi is the 13th full-time manager at Forest in 8 years. O'Neill, in tandem with Roy Keane who left a few days ago, lasted just 5 months in his role as manager.

 

Warda Gets Recall

Egypt have recalled Amr Warda just 2 days after booting him out of their AFCON squad due to the release of a large number of social media conversations between him and numerous women. Warda, who has a lengthy history of sexual harassment claims against him, has split Egyptian society on his return, with even Mohamed Salah's calls to give him a second chance falling on deaf ears. In fact it has upset many that he has stood behind his team-mate and there are calls to boycott Egypt's matches.

 

Milan Get 1 Year European Ban

AC Milan and UEFA have reached a deal for the Italian giants to serve a one year ban for breaching UEFA's Financial Fair Play regulations. Milan finished fifth in Serie A to achieve qualification for the Europa League but will now miss out and, in return UEFA will end its proceedings against them for overspending. AS Roma will take their place in the group stages, while Torino will have Roma's place in the qualifying rounds.

 

Shan Leaves Baggies

Former caretaker manager Jimmy Shan has left West Bromwich Albion after Slaven Bilic's appointment as new manager. Shan had been working as first team coach under Darren Moore but took over on an interim basis following Moore's sacking.
