Contracts

Robert Snodgrass has signed a new deal with West Ham United giving him a 1 year deal with an option for a further year.

Celta de Vigo left-back Lucas Olaza has a new one-year contract.

Cheick Timite has a two year deal with SC Amiens.

Veteran Italian centre-back Daniele Gastaldello has signed a 1 year contract with Brescia.

 

Transfers

Jake Bidwell has signed for Swansea City from Queens Park Rangers.

QPR have signed Dominic Ball after he left Rotherham United.

AFC Wimbledon have sold defender Toby Sibbick to Barnsley for an undisclosed fee. Leaving Barnsley is Ethan Pinnock, who has joined Brentford for an undisclosed fee.

Andy Cole's son Devante has joined Motherwell from Wigan Athletic on a 6-month loan deal.

German defender Marvin Compper has left Celtic to join German 3rd tier side Duisburg after just one appearance for the Bhoys.

Colchester United have signed Matthew Weaire after his release from Brighton & Hove Albion.

Rochdale have taken young left-back Rhys Norrington-Davies on a season-long loan from Sheffield United.

Bournemouth's US midfielder Emerson Hyndman has joined Major League Soccer side Atlanta United on loan until the end of December.

Former Manchester United and West Ham United midfielder Ravel Morrison is on trial at Sheffield United.

Former Blackpool winger John O'Sullivan has joined Morecambe following his release from the Seasiders.

League Two side Mansfield Town have signed Nicky Maynard on a free transfer from Bury.

Southampton youngster Alfie Jones has agreed a season long loan to Gillingham.

Rohan Ince has signed for Cheltenham Town after a year on the sidelines as a free agent due to a knee injury following his release from Brighton & Hove Albion.

Walsall have signed Shay Facey on a free transfer from Northampton Town.

Stevenage have added three players to their squad. Chris Stokes terminated his contract with Bury, who have financial issues. Charlie Carter and Paul Digby arrive on undisclosed fees from Chesterfield and Forest Green Rovers respectively.

Plymouth Argyle have signed Will Aimson on a free from Bury.

Jack Clarke has signed for Tottenham Hotspur from Leeds United and then immediately loaned back for the season. They have also broken their transfer record to sign French midfielder Tanguy Ndombele from Olympique Lyonnais for a fee of over £50m.

Arsenal have made their first signing of the window in the shape of teenage Brazilian winger Gabriel Martinelli from Ituano.

Pablo Sarabia has joined Paris Saint-Germain for a fee of around £16m from Sevilla.

FC Dallas have signed Edwin Gyasi on loan from CSKA Sofia.

Racing Strasbourg have paid under £2m for Jean-Ricner Bellegarde from Lens.

Everton's Spanish forward Sandro Ramirez has joined Real Valladolid on loan.

AS Roma's Nigerian forward Umar Sadiq, who spent time on loan with Rangers previously, has joined Partizan Belgrade on loan for a fee of around £90,000.

Inter Milan have paid a loan fee of around £4.5m for Sassuolo midfielder Stefano Sensi.

Angers forward Baptiste Guillaume has signed for Valenciennes on loan.

FC Dallas have sold Carlos Gruezo to FC Augsburg for under £4m.

Hannover 96 have taken Cedric Teuchert on loan from FC Schalke 04.

Valon Behrami has joined FC Sion from Udinese.

Levante have signed Hernani on a free transfer from FC Porto.

Borussia Dortmund have loaned right-back Felix Passlack to Fortuna Sittard.

Atletico Madrid's Argentine forward Nicolas Ibanez has moved on loan to San Luis of the Mexican Liga MX.

FC Astana have taken Firmin Mubele on loan from Toulouse.

Montpellier have spent nearly £9m on French central midfielder Teji Savanier from Nimes.

Genoa have signed Sinan Gumus from Galatasaray on a free transfer.

SPAL have taken Gabriele Moncini from Cittadella on a free.

AC Milan centre back Cristian Zapata has made a free transfer to Genoa.

Chelsea have released Lucas Piazon.

Iranian side Tractor Sazi (who sound more like Man Utd's latest sponsor than a football team) have released Anthony Stokes.

Former Real Madrid left-back Fabio Coentrao has been released by Rio Ave.

Amiens have paid over £2m for Eddy Gnahore from Palermo.

Ben Purrington has returned to Charlton Athletic for an undisclosed fee from Rotherham United.

 

Dicks Back In With Bilic

Julian Dicks has moved to West Bromwich Albion to join Slaven Bilic's coaching staff, after working with him at West Ham United, when Bilic managed there. Dicks had been working as manager of non-league side Heybridge Swifts.

 

Dons Shareholders Vote Yes

Aberdeen shareholders have voted in favour of becoming a private limited company in a vote at Pittodrie. Dons chairman Stewart Milne said: "But, more importantly, we've paved the way for further investment in the future, which is critical to our ongoing success both on and off the pitch. Share subscription, along with other initiatives, will play a large part in fundraising for phase two - the new stadium, which is integral to our long-term ambition for the club and the region. It is the intention that both existing and new shareholders will be able to participate in the phase two share subscription."

 

Hibs Takeover Complete

Hibernian are now debt-free after a takeover by Ronald Gordon. Gordon is a Peru-born, United States-based businessman whose grandfather emigrated from Scotland over 100 years ago. Gordon has bought out Tom Farmer, who has owned Hibs since 1991 and chairman Rod Petrie. Gordon said: "I know that Hibernian is the right club for me. I am committed to working with supporters, other shareholders and everyone connected with Hibernian to build on Sir Tom's legacy and take the club forward. The new chapter will be one of progress and success."

 

Bury Turn To Wilkinson

League One side Bury have appointed Paul Wilkinson as their new manager, less than 2 weeks after he signed a 2 year deal to manage Truro City. Bury are suffering financial problems despite winning promotion last season and are shedding players at a vast rate of knots due to delays in wage payments.

 

Rafa Heads To China

Following the end of his contract with Newcastle United, Rafael Benitez has taken the job of managing Chinese side Dalian Yifang. There Rafa will be in charge once more of former Napoli midfielder Marek Hamsik. Benitez said: "After a long path, we start a new challenge. I´m happy to begin this new project with Dalian Yifang."

 

Hammers Reject Marko Bid

Despite Austrian forward Marko Arnautovic once more asking for a transfer, West Ham United have rejected a bid for him from a Chinese club. Arnautovic initially wanted to leave in January due to Chinese interest, before saying he was happy to stay and signing a contract extension. Now he is once more trying to force a move away but the Hammers are standing firm and have dismissed an offer of around £20m.

 

Ghana Lose Atsu

Ghana and Newcastle United winger Christian Atsu has been ruled out of the rest of the Africa Cup of Nations after picking up a hamstring injury. Atsu lasted just 15 minutes in a goalless draw with Cameroon. He has now returned to his club for treatment.

 

Wycombe Have New Investor

Wycombe Wanderers have an American investor in the shape of Rob Couhig, who previously tried to takeover Yeovil Town recently. Couhig has stated that he aims to invest significant amounts into "on and off-field operations", as well as buy a majority shareholding in the club.

 

Macc Face Angry Players

Unpaid Macclesfield Town players have added their unpaid wages to a winding up petition which has previously been filed against the League Two club by Egerton Youth Club. The players have not been paid for two months and said that they have "no confidence their wages will be paid on time, if at all" and that "having exhausted all other options, we feel we have been left with no alternative but to seek legal advice and take action in order to gain payment of wages for the last two months. We are concerned that, despite the obvious financial difficulties, the club are continuing to sign new players even though there is an inability to pay existing or former players what they are contractually owed. We are encouraged and extremely grateful for the continued support from supporters of the club and other clubs, but unfortunately well wishes do not pay our mortgages or feed our children."

 

Foxes Agree Perez Fee

Leicester City have agreed a fee with Newcastle United for Spanish forward Ayoze Perez. The 25 year old striker has been with Newcastle since 2014, when he joined for £1.5m from Tenerife. It is believed that the price for Perez is around £30m.
