His son Linos was also a Zambia international.

Wilfried, though he only signed a new deal last summer, is looking to leave Palace this summer with 4 years left on his contract. Roma's head of strategy Paul Rogers, who previously worked for Liverpool, said: "We want to use the viral nature of social media transfer announcements to help raise awareness for missing children. We have a massive social media following and our announcements generate incredible reach and awareness, all over the world, so we thought that at the exact moment when the world's attention is on the club's announcement." Under Rogers' guiding hand, Roma have become known for some of the best social media work in football.

Keita Returns To Liverpool For Assessment

Guinea midfielder Naby Keita has left the squad in Egypt for the Africa Cup of Nations to fly back to Liverpool and be assessed by club doctors after another injury problem. His injuries have caused such controversy in Guinea that his family home in Conakry was attacked by a group of youths according to the BBC who quoted police saying: "We sent a team of policemen to a house at Coleah in Conakry to restore calm after some youths attempted acts of riotous conduct in a house believed to be the family home of footballer Naby Keita." It is believed that the youths blame one of Keita's relatives for performing witchcraft which have increased the midfielder's injuries and affected his performances. Keita has not been fully fit since suffering an injury in the semi-final of the Champions League and Guinea's press officer Mamadou Camara said: "Yes, he has gone for a medical consultation [at Liverpool] - as you know he was the victim of a lot of heavy challenges in the game against Nigeria. So he consulted with medical staff over there [at Liverpool] and they asked him to come back for two days. The idea is that he is here to play in the last 16 but I don't think we can say he will 100%. After so many heavy tackles, the coach withdrew him before the end of the match and the day after, he was examined here and he tried to do some training but the medicine did not help relieve the pain. He picked this injury up in the semi-finals of the European Champions League and he has been training and playing but never at 100% and we have to think about after the Nations Cup. I don't think he can play a full 90 minutes at the moment but if he can start and then be taken off that's a very good thing. The manager will have to keep managing him as he has been doing."

Derby Let Lampard Head Off For Talks

Bolton Wanderers have named their preferred bidder to takeover the troubled League One side, though, sad to say, it is not Trotters Independent Trading. They were also able to show the viability of a minimum two-year business plan for the club which was of the utmost importance."
