Football News: My take on the Paulo Dybala to Manchester United Rumour

The Paulo Dybala rumour has the feeling of opportunism to me rather than a player we've held a keen interest in or have targeted throughout the summer.
Juventus would like Lukaku but are maybe reluctant to pay the £75m plus Utd would demand for a transfer. Dybala has been linked with a move away from Turin for some time now and is a player they've made available in the right circumstances. His form has suffered slightly and he's not really kicked on and become the superstar everyone perhaps predicted a few years ago.
Ole has spoken of his preference for versatile and mobile forwards that can play anywhere across the front 3. Dybala can play CF, RW or at No10 and is perhaps better suited to the style Ole is trying to implement at OT this season. From a Utd perspective they are releasing a player that doesn't necessarily fit what the manager requires and in return getting a more mobile and versatile player that is more suited to the system the manager wants to play. From a marketing perspective Dybala is still a huge name and would certainly generate excitement across all platforms of social media and would potentially attract more interest from prospective sponsors.
I don't think we need to persuade Dybala that his future lies at Old Trafford. No doubt he'll be offered very attractive terms and whilst Utd have suffered recently we remain one of the biggest Clubs in the world. Don't forget Juventus were relegated for match fixing not that long ago throwing the Club into turmoil and disarray. They now sit as one of the most dominant teams in Europe my point being a lot can change in football in a short time. If Dybala prefers to stay at Juventus and play for a Club that are happy to let him go, then that's his choice and we should wish him good luck.
From a fans perspective I can't really see a downside to this deal. Most fans are not enamoured with Lukaku, whilst his goal scoring record is good, his first touch remains questionable and he's not mobile enough to press from the front or quickly interchange positions or implement the style the manager desires. Whilst Dybala's form of late hasn't quite hit the stratospheric heights his talent demands he certainly has unquestionable quality and is an upgrade on what we already have.
He's capable of implementing the style the manager desires, at 25 he's approaching his peak years and he can play a variety of positions across the front line. In reality we won't get the transfer fee we want for Lukaku so this deal is an absolute no brainier for me. If Dybala doesn't settle we still have a really good player we can potentially move on and recover a sizeable fee and if he does he will certainly improve our team.
This deal shouldn't necessarily detract from our other targets maybe it's just a curious case of opportunism which could work for both Clubs.
