Football News: Kompany fit to face Roma

Manchester City have been boosted by news that skipper and defensive rock Vincent Kompany should be fit to face AS Roma in their vital Champions League clash tomorrow night.

The Belgian international had picked up an injury in the win over Southampton, with fears he would face a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

It is now expected he will start against Roma as City go out to pick up a win in the Stadio Olimpico to have any hope of qualification for the next round.
