Contracts

Hull City's young academy graduate defender Jacob Greaves has signed a 3 year contract.

Free agent Rhys Bennett, who left Peterborough United in the summer, has signed a short-term deal with Carlisle United. The deal runs until January.

American midfielder Giovanni Reyna has inked a 4 year deal with Borussia Dortmund.

Transfers

Free agent former Atletic Bilbao midfielder Benat Etxeberria has signed for A-League team Macarthur.

French winger David Milinkovic is to become a free agent after Hull City agreed a deal with Major League Soccer team Vancouver Whitecaps. Milinkovic had been on loan with the MLS side from Hull, with a clause for him to join on a permanent deal, which had been triggered. With the Canadians not wanting to keep hold of Milinkovic, they paid a fee of $100,000 to Hull in order to release the Frenchman.

Also in MLS, Chicago Fire have agreed a deal to take Nigerian forward Chinonso Offor from Latvian team FK Rigas Futbola Skola on 1st January.

Injury Round-Up

Crystal Palace captain Luke Milivojevic has tested CV positive while on international duty with Serbia.

Preston North End's Republic of Ireland midfielder Alan Browne has also tested positive on international duty.

Also testing positive while away on international duty is Liverpool forward Mo Salah, who tested positive while with his Egypt team.

Managerial Changes

As expected, John Sheridan has quit Wigan Athletic to take over at Swindon Town as their new manager. Sheridan only took charge at the Latics in September on a month-to-month contract due to their financial problems.

Senegal's Football Federation president Augustin Senghor has become the fifth and final candidate for the presidency of the Confederation of African Football. Meanwhile current incumbent, who is one of the candidates standing, Ahmad Ahmad has temporarily handed over control to first vice-president Omari Constant as Ahmad recovers from CV.

Sheffield Wednesday have appointed Tony Pulis as their new first team manager. Pulis has already been in charge of a total of 1,123 senior games as a manager of teams such as Stoke City, after beginning his managerial career replacing Harry Redknapp at Bournemouth.

Addicks Owner Issued Quit Notice

Charlton Athletic have been issued with a notice to order new owner Thomas Sandgaard to "leave the club". Sandgaard was sold Charlton by previous owner Tahnoon Nimer, after the sale of the club's holding company, East Street Investments (ESI), to a company called Lex Dominus fell through. The owner of Lex Dominus, Manchester-based businessman Paul Elliott (not the former Celtic and Chelsea player who began his playing career with Charlton), failed the English Football League's Owners and Directors' Test. Elliott did not give up and took his fight to court to buy the holding company, which he has now been granted ownership of. Elliott said: "The former directors of East Street Investments, had no authority to sell anything to anyone, not least agree the sale of Charlton Athletic Football Club to Mr Thomas Sandgaard. Put simply, it was not their asset to sell. We have written to the club lawyers asking them to inform Mr Sandgaard immediately, and the English Football League. We never wanted to get to this position, and we certainly do not wish to cause further distress or disruption to Charlton Athletic or its supporters. We have attempted to get all parties around the table to discuss a way forward, but, despite our best efforts and Mr Sandgaard's statements to the media about 'doing the right thing' our efforts have been ignored. We always argued that we had a legal agreement to purchase the club and that has now been justified by the making of the court order. Mr Sandgaard has been given notice to leave the club immediately. We, as always, remain willing to talk, but we also reserve the right to assert our legal ownership of the club."

PPV Model Scrapped

The Premier League have decided to scrap the pay-per-view model for matches until the end of the year. The games will instead return to the model used in September, with games shared between Sky Sports, BT Sport, the BBC and Amazon Prime, who will broadcast them all live.
