Pandemic Problems

Derby County, who have blamed their pandemic for their financial problems rather than their years of cheating the system, have claimed they will tell the EFL how the club is to be funded for the rest of the season "within days". The EFL stated that the club's administrators forecasted that it would run out of money this month.

Leyton Orient chairman Nigel Travis has proposed allowing clubs to sign players on short-term deals to avoid having to postpone games when hit by CV outbreaks. Moshiri Increases Toffees' Stake

Everton's majority owner Farhad Moshiri has increased his stake in the club to 94.1% with a capital injection of a further £100m. Assem and Ehab Allam have owned the club for 12 years, a period marred by constant battles with the fans, who constantly protested about the way it was run. Turkey-based Acun Medya Group have bought the club from the Allams. The Allams turned the fans against them by trying to change the club's name to Hull Tigers.

FIFA Plan Loans Limit

FIFA are to set a limit of 8 international loans in and 8 out per club from 1st July 2022. The number is to reduce by one each season for the next two seasons. FIFA have also ordered domestic football associations to implement a similar loan limiting system over the next 3 years to bring them in line with FIFA's limits.
