Contracts

Manchester United have given their Portugese playmaker Bruno Fernandes a new deal which runs until 2025 with an option for a further year.

Brentford midfielder Vitaly Janelt has extended his deal until 2026.

Moritz Heyer has lengthened his contract until 2026.

Teenage midfielder Bruno Conti has signed up with Cagliari until 2025.

Veteran former Manchester City striker Alvaro Negredo has a new contract with Cadiz which will end in 2023.

Hibernian have extended Joe Newell's deal until 2025.

Lazio full-back Adam Marusic has been tied down until 2024.

 


Transfers

Brazilian winger Vitinho has moved to Athletico Paranaense on loan from Dynamo Kyiv.

Another to join the exodus from Ukrainian football is Andriy Dombrovskiy who has signed for Polish side Termalica on a free transfer from Desna Chernigiv.

Royal Antwerp have loaned Didier Lamkel Ze to FC Metz.

Real Madrid have taken teenage Brazilian full-back Vinicius Tobias on loan from Shakhtar Donetsk.

Boli Bolingoli's loan spell from Celtic to Ufa of the Russian Premier Liga has been ended.

Vincent Thill has joined Orebro SK on loan from Vorskla Poltava of the Ukrainian Premier Liga.

Free agent former Stoke City forward Juan Agudelo has signed for Birmingham Legion of the USLC.

Dnipro DOnetsk have loaned Felipe Pires to ADO Den Haag.

Olympque Lyonnais have signed Teta on loan from Shakhtar Donetsk.

Maycon has moved to Corinthians on loan from Shakhtar Donetsk.

Flamengo have taken Ayrton Lucas on loan from Spartak Moscow.

Teenage Rostov midfielder Armin Gigovic has signed for Helsingborg on loan.

 


Injury Round Up

West Ham United midfielder Manuel Lanzini has escaped injury after the car he was being driven in crashed. His chauffeur-driven vehicle went off the road, into a ditch and hit a tree but Lanzini did not require hospital treatment.

Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos has been ruled out of action for a couple of weeks, meaning he will miss the Old Firm clash on Sunday.

Celtic have had better injury luck as their top scorer, Japanese forward Kyogo Furuhashi, has returned to fitness after 3 months out.

Wilfred Ndidi has been ruled out of the rest of the season. The Leicester City midfield dynamo has had surgery on a knee injury.

Knee injuries have forced Preston North End goalkeeper Declan Rudd to retire at the age of 31.

Plymouth Argyle striker Ryan Hardie has suffered a thigh strain which threatens to end his season early.

 


Managerial Changes

Andy Awford has left the role of Luton Town academy boss after nearly 7 years at the club. Awford even had a spell as caretaker boss during his first season with the Hatters.

Former Manchester United striker Ruud van Nistelrooy has signed a deal to take charge of PSV Eindhoven in the summer, when current boss Roger Schmidt leaves. Van Nistelrooy scored 62 goals in 67 games for PSV as a player, before he signed for Man Utd.

Scunthorpe United chairman Pater Swann has resigned.

 


Disciplinary Charges

Accrington Stanley manager John Coleman has been banned for one match from the touchline and fined £1,000 for verbally abusing a match official.

 


Ukraine Invasion

Dynamo Kyiv are to play a series of friendlies around Europe, facing teams such as Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, AC Milan and Ajax to raise money for Ukraine.

Andrii Kravchuk, a Ukrainian footballer who was signed to Russian club Torpedo Moscow before quitting and fleeing to Manchester, has been given permission to train with Manchester City.
