Contracts

Espanyol midfielder Sergi Darder has signed a 4-year contract.

Despite being linked with a move away this summer, Martin Terrier has agreed a 4-year deal.

 


Transfers

David Moyes has confirmed that his West Ham United team are in talks with Olympique Lyonnais for Brazil midfielder Lucas Paqueta. The Hammers have already signed Chelsea's Brazilian left-back Emerson Palmieri for £13.86m.

Olympique de Marseille have signed Ivory Coast defender Eric Bailly on loan for the season from Manchester United, with an obligation to buy if he makes enough appearances. They also paid a loan fee of £1.8m.

OGC Nice are holding talks with Arsenal in an attempt to sign Nicolas Pepe on loan.

Montpellier have paid an undisclosed fee of £900,000 to sign Christopher Jullien from Celtic.

Hull City have signed Salah-Edinne Oulad M'Hand on loan from Arsenal for the rest of the season.

Ipswich Town midfielder Rekeem Harper has joiend Exeter City on a season-long loan deal.

Bristol Rovers have paid an undisclosed fee to AFC Wimbledon for midfielder Luke McCormick.

Harry Pell has returned to AFC Wimbledon after they paid an undisclosed fee to Accrington Stanley to re-sign the midfielder.

Brighton & Hove Albion forward Lorent Tolaj has joined Salford City on loan for the season.

CF Montreal are set to receive a club record fee from AZ Alkmaar in January after agreeing a deal to sell Djordje Mihailovic to them on 1st January. Mihailovic's former team Chicago Fire will receive 10% of the fee.

Excelsior have signed Adrian Fein on a free transfer from Bayern Munich.

Almeria have done a swap deal with Espanyol, with Espanyol signing Jose Carlos Lazo, while Adrian Embarba has gone the other way.

Real Valladolid have signed Zouhair Feddal on a free transfer from Sporting.

Troyes have signed Rony Lopes on loan from Sevilla.

Martin Fraisl has joined Arminia Bielefeld on a free transfer from Schalke 04.

Former Fulham midfielder Max Meyer has joined Luzern on a free transfer from Fenerbahce.

Burgos have signed Jesus Areso on loan from Osasuna.

Torino midfielder Jacopo Segre has signed for Palermo.

Omonia Nikosia have paid £1.35m for Moreto Cassama from Stade Reims.

Watford have loaned Nicolas N'Koulou to Aris Saloniki.

Valencia have paid a £450,000 loan fee to Lyon to take Cenk Ozkacar on loan.

Monaco have loaned Jean Marcelin to Cercle Brugge.

Lazio have received a £297,000 loan fee from Ternana for Raul Moro.

Monza have sent Luca Mazzitelli to Frosinone on loan.

Udinese have paid £17.1m to sign Hassane Kamara from Watford and then immediately loaned the 28-year-old back. Obviously needed it for FFP purposes.

Tenerife have signed Aitor Bunuel from Almeria on a free transfer.

Brentford have loaned Myles Peart-Harris to Forest Green Rovers.

Parma have signed veteran full-back Cristian Ansaldi on a free transfer from Torino.

Lecce have also signed Marin Pongracic on loan from VfL Wolfsburg.

Mansfield Town forward Rhys Oates has been sidelined "for a few months" due to rupturing a pectoral muscle.

 


Job Changes

Crawley Town have turned to Chris Galley as their new director of football. Galley is a football analytics expert who was advising clubs on strategy and tactics at StatsBomb. Previously he was at Smartodds, the company owned by Brentford owner Matthew Benham, where he assisted with recruitment for Brentford. Galley has been an advisor for Crawley since their takeover by WAGMI United, the US cryptocurrency investors. Galley will also be the interim chief executive officer at Creepy while they look for a permanent appointment.

Syria have appointed Hossam Al-Sayed as head coach of their national team once more. He had previously been in charge of Syria 10 years ago.

 


Disciplinary Charges

Ross County duo Jack Baldwin and Ross Callachan have both accepted two-match suspension after their bookings against Kilmarnock were upgraded to yellow cards. The pair will miss games against Celtic and Rangers.

Rangers midfielder John Lundstram has had the red card he was shown against Hibernian downgraded to a yellow on appeal. He will now be available to face Ross County.

Two men have been arrested after allegations of racist and homophobic abuse at Gillingham's Carabao Cup tie with Exeter City. Gills have said they will be given lifetime bans from the stadium if found guilty.

The EFL have condemned a pitch invasion by Crawley Town fans following the League Two side's shock 2-0 win over Premier League Fulham in the Carabao Cup. The Football Association will now investigate and attempt to identify the perpetrators, who all face bans from the stadium under new measures brought in for this season following a succession of problems last season during pitch invasions.

Swindon Town forward Harry McKirdy has been handed a 3-match ban following the 25-year-old's sending off in a 0-0 draw with Salford City. McKirdy went into referee Andy Woolmer's room and threw a drink which spilled onto Woolmer's clothing. McKirdy has also been fined £1,500. The three-game ban is on top of the single match he has already served for the dismissal.
