Football News: There is a problem at Rangers FC just now and someone allowed it to happen

Hi guys, another Match day producing another poor Rangers performance and result!

There is a problem at our club just now and someone has let their guard down by allowing ourselves to get into this very predicament we find ourselves in. We have players who have unfortunately been allowed to stay past their peak trying to continue to play how they played during their peak days and it's obvious for everyone to see that these players are no longer able to perform at the levels we need them to and they should have been moved on or retired by now.

Second predicament is, we have allowed players to stay who obviously no longer want to be here. Possibly not allowed to move due to transfer fees not being acceptable to the club. However on the other side, it left us with players who no longer fight, show hunger or desire for the shirt, therefore leaving the current manager in a very bad place as he has no other choice but to keep picking them. Well that is how it seems as he pretty much picks the same players who continuously let him down, whilst trying to keep playing the same formation and tactics that also continuously let him down.

And thirdly, we have an awful injury list, with players perhaps staying on the injury list that may have been able to come in and try at minimum, a bit part in our season so far.

We also have a manager, who for whatever reason as I say, continuously plays these players and opts to to play the same tactics and formations. And for some reason doesn't have it in him to make the drastic changes we desperately need.

Listening to the scoreboard after the game, the pundits have really written Gio off and most of our players as well; calling them 'empty jerseys'. They were also saying that we need a total rebuild.

Whoever was in charge hadn't noticed the deep hole we were setting ourselves up for by holding onto players who wanted a move and giving extra contracts to players who should have retired and really shouldn't be at our club. It was obvious to most of us early on that Kent and Morelos for the past year haven't been great and they have showed nothing in contrast to the days when they were happy to be here. It was also obvious that the players who had run their course and shouldn't have had the burden placed on them by offering extensions on their contracts.

Even with injured players coming back, the majority of them don't want to be here or they're not happy playing under Gio and therefore I can't see how anything changes going forward.

I think Gio has possibly lost a minimum of half the dressing room through no fault of his own. It's probably more to do with some players wanting to leave and others not being as good as they once were and realising they shouldn't be here now either.

Looking at the accounts, where does the money come from to replace Gio and all the players?

Throw them all in, inject some youth with fight and hunger and desire mixed with a few of the main team players who want to be here and give them a chance. Can't get any worse than what we're watching just now. Or alternatively, stick with what's not working and keep watching the same movie.

Gio now looks out his depth, no lives left and players couldn't care less - most of them anyway. How are a bunch of sorry-ass players bringing our club down so much and getting away with it? Did someone see it coming and did nothing at the Board level when we had the chance to throw some cash and take a hit or two on some players by letting them leave instead of this mess we're in now.

I don't know, is it looking and sounding worse than it is or are we going to find ourselves really lacking when so much money needs thrown at Rangers FC now?
