Football News: Birmingham remove Pannu

Birmingham City have moved to remove Peter Pannu from his roles as chief executive and managing director of their holding company, Birmingham International Holdings Ltd.

"The board of directors of Birmingham International Holdings Limited would like to inform shareholders and potential investors of the Company that the Board...is of the view that, it is inappropriate for Mr. Pannu to continue acting as the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of the Company.

"The Board has resolved to terminate the appointment of Mr. Peter Pannu as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Company with effect from 12 December 2014."

The new follows Pannu's resignation from the Birmingham City FC and Plc boards and subsequent comments to Blues blogger Daniel Ivery on the blogger's Often Partisan website.

Pannu will remain as a director of BIHL though and is up for re-election at the company's AGM next week.
