It seems that it is business as usual for Ally McCoist after the Rangers manager held a meeting with the Glasgow clubs board this afternoon regarding his future.

The Rangers board confirmed in a statement to the stock exchange on Monday that the manager had activated his 12 month notice period while also confirming that his salary had doubled to £750,000 during that 12 months.

Speculation has been rife that McCoist would leave Rangers if an amicable solution could be found, however that still seems forthcoming and McCoist remains in charge of first team affairs at Ibrox and took charge of training this morning.

No official statement has yet been made by the Ibrox club, with consultant Derek Lambias and Chairman of the football board Sandy Easdale, believed to have been at the meeting today.
