Football News: Pool appeal red card

Hartlepool United have decided to appeal against the red card shown to Marlon Harewood in the 1-1 draw with Mansfield Town yesterday.
Both Harewood and Michael Woods were dismissed for Pools, though boss Ronnie Moore had no complaints about Woods injury time sending off, and has said he will be fined.
Harewood's dismissal is felt to be harsh and the club will appeal, hoping to have the veteran available to face Morecambe Town tomorrow.
Moore said: "Marlon was sent off and we don't know why, the cameras don't show anything, so how the linesman can see it who knows?
"The linesman ran past me when Michael (Duckworth) made a challenge for a header on the halfway line and said we were lucky there and got out of jail.
"He saw that challenge (Duckworth) as an elbow when it wasn't, so I've no idea how he's seen the sending-off.
"I don't understand it. The referee is nearer than anyone else and other people can see something - I'm not having it.
"Marlon there was no malice - he wouldn't frighten my missus, so he's not going to get involved in anything like that. I want to see it again on video."
Moore's take on the Woods dismissal was different, "Michael showed a total lack of professionalism for me. Last thing we need is to go down to nine men for the last few minutes.
"Michael will get fined - stupid, absolutely stupid. We said at half-time he was walking a tightrope after being booked, so nice and easy don't do anything daft.
"We have players in there and then does something stupid and he misses Sunday.
"Sunday is a big one for us, we said four points from these two games. We will have a go and if we can start on Sunday the way we finished this one then we have a chance."
