Football News: Willian close to Chelsea move

Chelsea football club are close to announcing the signing of Brazilian international Willian from Anzhi Machalakakala.Should Willian pass a medical and complete the formalities he will put pen to paper on a long term deal at Stanford Bridge with Jose Mourinho already stating the players had chosen Chelsea over London rivals Spurs who themselves where close to signing the player.

Should the deal for Willian go through as expected he will be Chelsea's 4th summer signing following on from the arrivals of Andre Schurrle (Bayer Leverkusen),Marco Van Ginkel (Vitesse) and Mark Schwarzer (Fullham).Chelsea owner Roman Abramhovic has been a long term admire of Willian with Chelsea interest dating back to 2011.

Willian has already played at the bridge when his Shaktar side visited in a 3-2 defeat in the champions league group stage last year with Willian scoring one of the Shaktar goals.Willian was close to signing for Tottenham however a late bid from Chelsea soon changed everything and now it looks likely the player will become a Chelsea player some time soon.
