Football News: Liverpool interested in Hughes

Liverpool have expressed there interest in Derby midfielder Will Hughes having been impressed with the 18-year old performances with Liverpool having representatives watching Hughes for a while now.Hughes a boy hood Liverpool fan has attracted interest from nearly every top half team in England is thought to prefer a move to Anfield.

Any deal being completed for Hughes is likely to see him loaned back to Derby for the remainder of the 2013/2014 season.Hughes despite being only 18 has represented England at U-21 level.Hughes signed a one year contract extension at Derby back in April contracting him to Derby until 2016.

Hughes despite his tender age would likely cost Liverpool in the region of £7 million pounds which is unlikely to put Liverpool off.The lure of playing for his boy hood club is likely to prove the biggest factor in this deal and with Brendan Rodgers reputation for developing young players this could also influence the decision that has to be made by Hughes.Liverpool are also looking to strengthen there left side with Carlos Vela,Arda Turan and Leandro Damiao being sounded out.
