Football News: Celtic hand Everton midfielder Francisco Junior a trial.

Celtic will take a look at Everton's 22-year-old Francisco Junior after taking the midfielder on a week long trial.

Junior played under Celtic boss Ronny Deila last season, at the Norwegian's former club Stromsgodset, with the midfielder scoring once in 12 appearances during a loan spell from the Goodison side.

After graduating from the Benfica youth academy Junior joined Premier League side Everton in 2012 and the midfielder made his Everton debut in a 2012-13 League Cup tie against Leeds United.

The 22-year-old has represented Portugal at Under 19 and Under 21 level, but has announced his desire to play for Guinea-Bissau at senior international level.
