Football News: Real Madrid dismiss talk of Khedira sale

Real Madrid's Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti has ruled out selling German international midfielder Sami Khedira in January, despite media links with a transfer to Arsenal.

The 27 year old's time at the Bernabeu has been beset with injury problems, but the club are adamant he is happy in the Spanish capital.

"I've heard nothing. They're just rumours. He's our player, at least until June 30," said Ancelotti. "Khedira is a player of Real Madrid and I treat him as such."

2014 World Cup winner Khedira has stated publicly that he is happy at Madrid and is looking to sign a new contract.

"If we can reach a solution, I'll be very happy," he was quoted as saying last week. "I'm confident that soon I will get more of a chance to play. There are other players in my position but that competition is healthy."
