Football News: Sanchez heading for Arsenal burnout
Arsene Wenger has higlighted his fears over star man Alexis Sanchez.
With the increased workload of playing in the Barclays Premier League, over the slightly more sedate Spanish Primera Liga, added to his international commitments for Chile, Wenger has admitted he worries that Sanchez might be in need of a rest.
Wenger has said "unfortunately you never know how far you can push (a player). We're not scientific enough to predict that completely, but he has great recovery potential."
Could Arsenal afford to rest a man who is almost singlehandedly keeping the club in contention for the Champions League places?
It is doubtful that the Emirates Stadium crowd would take too kindly to seeing a Gunners team step out on to the pitch without the ex-Barcelona forward, but it is a risk Arsene might be forced to take to avoid injury to the Chilean.
