Stevenage Fined For Sexist Chants

The Football Association have fined Stevenage £5,000 after the club admitted a charge of sexist chanting towards a female official during a home match in March. Dozens of fans chanted what the FA described as "extremely offensive, both blatantly sexist and in vulgar indecent language" at Lisa Rashid after she replaced an assistant referee in the 18th minute of a game versus Bury. Stevenage have warned they will impose significant bans on any fan found guilty of such behaviour.

Burton Foxed

Burton Albion have lost midfielder Ben Fox to an anterior cruciate ligament injury suffered during a pre-season friendly. The injury will rule him out for a minimum of 6 months.

Huddersfield Kit Raising Questions

The recently revealed new Huddersfield Town kit, which has to be the worst ever to disgrace the English game, has already got them in potential trouble with the FA. Though many believe the kit to be a joke by new sponsor Paddy Power, who are known for those kind of wind ups, the Football Association want to speak to them about the sponsor's logo which appears to breach regulations over the size allowed for such advertising.

Barton Charged With ABH

Joey Barton has been charged with causing actual bodily harm by police following a post-match tunnel incident against Barnsley, where a man was left with facial injuries, seemingly Barnsley manager Daniel Stendel. Fleetwood Town manager Barton has, as usual with him, denied the accusations. It just begs the question, why would anyone be stupid enough to give that vile racist thug a job in management?

Emery Talks Big

Unai Emery has claimed Arsenal are to sign some "very big, very expensive players" in this transfer window. After fans on social media (no doubt Arsenal TV leading the whining as that is all they ever do on there) called for change at the club and looking for money to be spent on players, Emery has come out to placate them. Emery said: "Our target is to achieve three or four players who really improve our team and our squad now. We have very good players and very good young players who can progress to take and get big performances with us. Other players can come here to help us. We are being very, very demanding and we are first speaking about the possibility to sign very big, very expensive players."

Pep To Let Players Choose

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is to let his players decide who replaces Vincent Kompany as captain next season. Guardiola said: "They will choose the captain when we are all together. After they are all back (they are) going to make a meeting and decide who is going to be captain."
