Contracts

Barrow have given striker Luke James a contract extension until 2023.

Transfers

Brendan Rodgers has said that he expects to make "big changes" to his Leicester City squad in the summer after they were dumped out of the FA Cup with barely a whimper to local rivals Nottingham Forest. The Northern Irish man said he was "embarrassed" by the humiliating 4-1 defeat to the Championship team.

Nikola Kalinic's contract with Hellas Verona has been terminated by mutual consent. The veteran striker is expected to rejoin Hajduk Split.

Injury Round-Up

Cardiff City have lost captain Sean Morrison for the rest of the season due to an ACL injury, which would take him to the end of his contract. Alfie Doughty has also been ruled out for 2 months with ankle ligament problems.

Bayern Munich's German international goalkeeper Manuel Neuer has been sidelined for "the coming weeks" after knee surgery on Sunday. The 35-year-old said on social media that he is hoping to be back in action in a "couple of weeks".

Managerial Changes

Marc Overmars has been forced to quit his role as Ajax's director of football over a "series of inappropriate messages to several female colleagues". The former Arsenal player said that he was "ashamed" of his behaviour.

Disciplinary Charges

CAS have overturned the 1-year ban FIFA handed to former Confederation of African Football president Issa Hayatou for the deal he made with French media company Lagardere in his role as president.

The game in League One between Morecambe and Bolton Wanderers was halted for ten minutes due to a "barrage of abuse", allegedly including racist abuse. Bolton's head coach Ian Evatt told the BBC: "From minute one the barrage of abuse from directly behind the dugout was astonishing. No protection. Encroachment, spitting and it takes the worst of all remarks - a racist remark - for somebody to stand up and do something about it. I'm emotional. This game never fails to disappoint me. I feel for Stephen, because his team has fought and it's not in any shape at all a mark against him, he was outstanding on the touchline and completely understanding."

Colchester United have hit out at racist abuse aimed at their forward Corie Andrews during the win over Leyton Orient. One Orient supporter was arrested in connection with the incident and has been banned by the Londoners while inquiries continue.

8 people have been arrested over the murder of a football fan of a rival club in Greece. A 19-year-old fan of ARIS was attacked by a group of fans of rival club PAOK, stabbed and badly beaten, with his injuries killing him. Two of his friends were also injured in the attack.

A Leicester City fan was arrested for invading the pitch and punching Nottingham Forest striker Keinan Davis, who is on-loan from Aston Villa.

African Super League Moves Closer

While a mooted European Super League failed to get off the ground, a similar plan in Africa is moving closer to a launch, with the backing of FIFA boss Gianni Infantino. CAF president Patrice Motsepe said: "We will implement in partnership with Fifa. Fifa brings a wealth of experience in terms of running the best competition in the world. We want the African Super League to be world-class and to compete against the best in the world in terms of quality of football, resources, infrastructure, pitches, referees, stadiums and ticketing. A lot of good progress has been made."

Please Don't Boo Him!

After a chorus of boos greeted Ousmane Dembele on his return to the Barcelona squad on Sunday, the Catalan club's manager Xavi has pleaded with fans not to boo him. Barca tried to force Dembele to leave in January, but the French international stayed and is out of contract in the summer. The weekend win over Atletico Madrid moved Barca up to 4th in the table, ahead of Atleti by 2 points.
