Contracts

Borussia Dortmund youngster Luca Unbehaun has extended his deal until the end of next season.

Vancouver Whitecaps have given Thomas Hasal a contract until the end of 2023 with a club option for a further 2 years.

Aberdeen midfielder Ross McCrorie has been handed a new deal which will expire in 2026.

Sam Hoskins has signed a contract with Northampton Town which will run until 2024.

Transfers

Young Paraguayan striker Erik Lopez has gone on loan to Banfield from Atlanta United. Joining the Major League Soccer team from fellow MLS side FC Dallas, is Dom Dwyer on a free transfer.

Celtic left-back Boli Bolingoli has moved to Ufa of the Russian Premier Liga on loan.

Free agent Uruguayan left-back Marcelo Saracchi has signed for Levante.

Injury Round-Up

Blackburn Rovers striker Ben Brereton Diaz will be out of action for a few weeks at least after he damaged ankle ligaments in the game against West Bromwich Albion. It was initially thought he had just twisted his ankle.

Managerial Changes

Stephen Robinson has left Morecambe to take up the role as new manager of St Mirren. Robinson had previously managed Motherwell before taking over at Morecambe.

Lesotho have appointed Veselin Jelusic as the new head coach of their national team.

Newport County have appointed Carl Serrant as their new assistant manager to replace Wayne Hatswell. As expected Hatswell has moved to join former Newport head coach Mike Flynn at Walsall.

Disciplinary Charges

Manchester United have been fined £20,000 for "failing to ensure that its players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion" during their win over Brighton & Hove Albion.

AS Roma boss Jose Mourinho has been given a 2-game touchline ban and fined 20,000 euros for his sending off during Roma's 2-2 draw with Hellas Verona on Saturday. Mourinho entered the pitch to argue with the referee before kicking the ball into the crowd. The Italian FA said Mourinho "made serious allegations" against the referee, making a telephone gesture towards him, in reference to his father, who was a referee at the time and had been involved in the 2006 Calciopoli match-fixing scandal.

Leeds United have identified a number of fans who threw missiles onto the pitch during the defeat to Manchester United and have passed the CCTV footage onto police. The club will ban them from games pending the outcome of the police investigation and will ban them for life if they are found guilty.

Paudie O'Connor's appeal against the red card shown to him during his team, Bradford City's, defeat at the hands of Oldham Athletic has been upheld. The 24-year-old had claimed wrongful dismissal for violent conduct and an independent regulatory commission agreed.

UEFA Final On The Move?

UEFA are "closely monitoring the situation" as the Ukraine-Russia crisis escalates. The Champions League final is currently planned to be held in St Petersburg but it is unlikely that a final could be held in Russia in the current political climate. UEFA have said that "any decision would be made in due course if necessary".

Fernandes Denies Split

Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes has denied that there is any truth in tabloid stories about a split in the dressing room over a power struggle between captain Harry Maguire and Cristiano Ronaldo. Fernandes said: "It is honestly people trying to complain and making stories about this club. I don't know what people mean. I saw the goal of H and saw Paul running behind, sliding on his knees, happy for him. I was slapping his head and saying finally he had scored with that big head. We know when someone talks about this club or players at this club, it goes around the world with their voice. That is something that they want. For us, it is nothing. If we stick to the plan and stick together, that is the main thing. Losing together and winning together."
