Football News: Bergkamp statue to be built

The Netherlands Football Association (KNVB) have released plans for a statue of former Holland legend Dennis Bergkamp.

The former Ajax and Arsenal legend was voted Holland's best player of the last 25 years recently.

Bergkamp will be the 13th former player to be immortalised with a bronze statue outside KNVB headquarters in Zeist.

His statue will join those of the Netherlands Team of the Century and coach Rinus Michels in the sculpture garden.
