Football News: Clayton facing a long spell on the sidelines

Bolton have confirmed forward Max Clayton will be sidelined for a minimum of 6 months after having surgery on his anterior cruciate ligament.

It's a huge blow for the 20 year old after finally starting to feature more under new boss Neil Lennon.

Clayton joined the Trotters this summer after letting his contract run down at home town club Crewe who received £300,000 in compensation.
