Football News: Leicester to sign Chelsea veteran keeper

Leicester City are closing in on the signing of Chelsea's veteran Australian keeper Mark Schwarzer.

The 42 year old has already made 700 senior appearances in his career, with over 100 caps for Australia, and is currently third choice at Chelsea, behind Thibaut Courtois and Petr Cech.

Leicester manager Nigel Pearson is looking to him to provide cover while the Foxes current number one goalkeeper, Kasper Schmeichel is out through injury.

So far number 2 Ben Hamer has impressed in Schmeichel's absence, managing to keep 2 of the Midlands' clubs 3 clean sheets.
