Football News: Chelsea ready Rooney bid

Chelsea football club next week will once again test Manchester United resolve with yet another bid for want-away striker Wayne Rooney.Rooney has requested to leave Manchester United this summer after accusing the clubs previous manager Sir Alex Ferguson about "Lying" about Rooney wanting to leave.

Chelsea have already seen two bids rejected as out of hand by United this summer however they are ready to go in with an improved offer for the England international.Jose Mourinho has publicly declared his wish to bring in a forward this summer and has alternatives ready if he can not Force United to part with Rooney.

One of the players rumoured to be interesting Chelsea is Anzhi Machalakakala forward Samuel Etoo who has worked under Mourinho during his stint at Inter Milan.Etoo would likely to be avaliable at much less then half the prove of Rooney however Etoo's wages would be an issue with Chelsea unlikely to be willing to watch the forward's £300,000 pounds a week salary in Russia.
